Welcome to the third issue of e-Patrons our briefing on what our Patrons and some other key Chamber members and partners have been up to.
I’m writing this not long after the General Election was announced and already we have seen politicians of all parties questioning the role of businesses and wealth creators in society. We know from working with our members that many of them are actively engaged in the communities that they and their employees serve and in this issue you will see articles highlighting this, and we are sure that there is still more that we don’t know about.
Businesses are generally apolitical but whether you are a Managing Director or an ordinary employee the next Government could have a major impact on how successful your business will be, and I haven’t even mentioned the “B” word which this election is supposed to resolve. I would urge you therefore to take an interest in this election, quiz candidates on their attitudes to business and vote accordingly.
Now I’ve got that off my chest I’d like to welcome Ground Control as our latest Patron. Based in Billericay they are a multi-award winning external solutions provider, offering a fully comprehensive service to single and multi-site clients across a variety of divisions and sectors. They were also recently highlighted in the London Stock Exchange’s report of “1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2019".
I hope you enjoy reading about just some of the inspiring companies that are based in Essex and who we are proud to have as members of Essex Chambers of Commerce.
